For generations, the Dawson County High School gymnasium has been more than a place for practices and competition. It has hosted unforgettable games, school events, celebrations and countless moments shared by students, families, alumni and the Glendive community.

In 2026, the Red Devil Legacy Foundation helped make the long-awaited refinishing of the DCHS gymnasium floor possible. Rather than replacing the original hardwood, the floor was professionally restored, refreshed with updated graphics and prepared to serve future generations of Red Devils.

Through the Foundation’s Keys to Our Legacy fundraising event, community support and a limited opportunity for alumni, families and supporters to place their names on the gym floor, RDLF raised the funds needed to cover the gymnasium and auditorium flooring project. Every name incorporated into the floor represents someone who believes in DCHS and wanted to leave a lasting mark on the school’s future.

The completed floor brings new life to one of DCHS’s most visible and well-used spaces while honoring the pride, tradition and people who have made it special.
